We've been watching this guy for a few days now. He moves around our little bay...some days he moves in and other days he's anti-social and stays further out.
Today, though, was different. He literally came crashing into our rocks!
It was amazing to watch it so close up. It was like a huge teeter totter....one side would go up in the air while the other side went down, almost totally submerged under the water. A few minutes later, they'd reverse positions....sooo cool!
Larry and Jake went out on the rocks for a closer view. Even though this iceberg is a lot smaller now than it was (and is really small compared to most icebergs)....it still must be huge. In the bottom pics, notice how small Larry and Jake look (if you can find them!)
O.K....can you find Larry and Jake in these pictures? Click to enlarge and look closely!

WOW!!! That may be a small iceberg, but it looks pretty big to me! How neat to be able to see it up close!
Beautiful, Linda, just beautiful!
Those are really great pics!
These photos are beautiful, LInda. I just called Joel is to look too! Thanks for sharing them with us who live so far from the sea.
Thanks, everyone!
I found your blog from Becky's in Georgia. I wanted to see your Iceberg pictures...gorgeous! I homeschool too. I live in San Jose, California (but grew up in Montreal). The Maritime Provinces hold great fascination with me. Thank you for the lovely pictures!
Hi Stephanie...thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed the iceberg pics. This one is a small one and I'm sooo hoping a big one comes in this far (although I'm not holding my breath lol)
Wow...Montreal....we're practically neighbours! And California...wow that's quite the move!
Hi Aunt Linda ... I still can't believe that's your backyard! The kids (and Uncle Larry ... lol) must be loving it! Joanne
Hey Joanne...glad to 'see' you here...thx for stopping by!
